Bike Ministry

Gently used bicycles are collected from individuals, the township recycling center, and local businesses. The bikes are then refurbished and given to individuals in need. Bikes have been given to local children as birthday and Christmas gifts, to Hersheypark guest workers, and increasingly, to individuals as low-cost transportation to and from their jobs. Approximately 75 bikes have been placed in the last 12 months.

A Love Story

Two bikes make Christmas special -
During a phone conversation, a Love INC Clearinghouse volunteer asked a single father if he needed any help with Christmas gifts for his two sons. The dad said his two sons, ages 7 and 9 would each like a bike, size 20 inches. One hour after the call, a woman called to offer 2 size 20 inch boys bikes to anyone in need. The donated bikes were secretly delivered Christmas Eve. Love INC volunteers made that family's Christmas extra special.
