Ministries
Love INC of Greater Hershey operates a phone call center, called a Clearinghouse,
where needs are screened, verified, and referred out to agencies, existing church ministries,
or church volunteers. Follow-up calls to the client and to the providing volunteer are made to
ensure the need was met and to see if more caring support is needed.
Also, when there are gaps in local services, Love INC attempts to fill the void. Currently,
Love INC of Greater Hershey has three "gap" ministries:
The Bicycle Ministry, providing bicycles to children and adults; a
Personal Care Closet, providing personal,
household, and baby basics not covered by food stamps; and
The Parsonage, a free, home away from home for families of patients at
the local hospital.
