Q: How do I request a room?
A: Rooms are filled on an "as available" basis. No reservations are taken. Please see your social worker or care coordinator at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center to make a request for a room at The Parsonage. The Parsonage is currently serving families of patients of the transplant, oncology, and hematology services and the Heart and Vascular Institute.
Q: Who may stay at The Parsonage?
A: Caregivers of adult patients staying at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and eligible patients with a caregiver. Guests with preschool age children must have prior approval. Please discuss your concerns with your social worker or care coordinator at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Please note: The Parsonage is a private home and is not handicap accessible. Guests must be able to do steps. There is no smoking or pets allowed.
Q: Are there geographic restrictions?
A: Guests must reside an hour away from Hershey.
Q: How many guests can stay in a room?
A: Two to four, depending on the bedroom.
Q: When is check-in?
A: Check-in is by appointment only. Registered guests have 24-hour keyless entry to The Parsonage.
Q: What do I need to bring with me for my stay?
A: Bring your personal items. Clean linens and towels are provided. An assortment of personal care items and food items are available to use during your stay.
Q: What amenities does The Parsonage offer?
A: Guests have access to a microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot, dining room, living room with a TV, and internet access, if requested. The bathroom is shared. The Parsonage is adjacent to a walking/exercise trail.
