The Parsonage History

The Hershey Medical Center's Family Centered Care Team was wrestling with their top concern of having available, close, low-cost housing arrangements for adult family members of patients, especially for families in the Heart and Vascular Institute since they returned for treatment frequently. In December 2007, Love INC began the magical, almost effortless, process of transforming Spring Creek Church of the Brethren's former 4-bedroom parsonage into a home away from home for adult guests of Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center patients. With local business, church, and individual support, The Parsonage celebrated their grand opening on November 14, 2008, at which time Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center's Heart and Vascular Institute's director presented Love INC with a plaque.
